A very nice UHF male (PL259) connector. Nickel-plated body with a tapered gold-plated center brass tip. Also, has the TEFLON Dielectric insulator now that will NOT melt with heat applied when soldering. Connector is 1.56" long with a .72" dia. A nice high-end connector for use on RG8, RG213, RG214, etc. size coaxial cables approx. .199" to .432" outer diameter. RG8 and RG213 have the same OD: .405". The PL-259 UHF male coaxial connector is by far the most widely used RF connector in amateur radio, citizens band radio, and marine VHF radio. They can handle RF power levels over one kilowatt (1kW). The voltage rating is 500 volts RMS. It DOES NOT MELT when heated! - Nice - Unlike the cheap Chinese nickel plated PL-259 connectors out there ours are very easy to solder with the gold pin.
Note: We have the reducers in stock separately on our website for the RG-8X or smaller RG58 cable, Also, remember that these cannot be used on the smaller coax without the reducers, only RG8, LM400, 213 etc. This connector will only fit RG8 and LMR400 cable with a 0.405" diameter and you would need a reducer (not included) to use it with a smaller diameter cable such as RG8X RG58 or Mini 8.
